What is Microsoft 365 Business and who is it for?+
Microsoft 365 Business is the SMB-focused subscription bundle for teams up to 300 users. It combines the Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Exchange business email, OneDrive cloud storage, SharePoint, Teams and — on the Premium tier — device management + advanced security. How do Basic, Standard and Premium differ?+
Basic (₹170/user/mo) is web-only Office + 50 GB Exchange mailbox + Teams; ideal for frontline / task workers. Standard (₹855/user/mo) adds desktop Office apps, Bookings, Loop, Clipchamp — the sweet spot for most small businesses. Premium (₹1,865/user/mo) adds Defender for Business EDR, Intune device management and Azure Information Protection — pick this if you handle regulated data or need to secure managed devices.
What is Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot?+
The Copilot bundle layers Microsoft's AI assistant on top of the Business Standard licence. Copilot is available in Word (drafts + edits), Excel (formulas + trends), PowerPoint (deck-from-prompt), Outlook (draft replies + summarise thread) and Teams (meeting recap + follow-ups). India MRP is ₹1,997.50/user/mo for the with-Teams variant. Existing Standard licences can upgrade to the Copilot variant mid-cycle.
Is Copilot for M365 worth it for Indian SMBs?+
Copilot pays back its ~₹1,150 monthly premium if it saves each user roughly 30 minutes a week (based on India's median IT staff cost of ~₹950/hr). Sales, HR, finance and consulting teams typically see the highest ROI because their document-authoring load is heavy. Field / manufacturing / retail teams see less benefit — they may not need the licence at all.
Do I get Teams with every plan?+
Every Business plan ships in two variants — 'With Teams' and 'No Teams' — after Microsoft's Sept 2024 EU antitrust un-bundling. The With-Teams variant includes the Teams client + full meeting features; the No-Teams variant drops Teams to ₹40-₹300/user/mo lower cost. Pick No-Teams if you already run Slack, Google Chat or Zoom.
Is GST included in the price?+
No. Every price on this page is exclusive of 18% GST. Indian buyers pay GST on top of the per-seat rate. Because Microsoft 365 is a SaaS licence (HSN 998434) and India Enterprises is a GST-registered CSP partner, the GST is fully claimable as input tax credit by any GST-registered Indian business.
Same-day activation — is that really possible?+
Yes. Once we've accepted your PO / advance and validated your tenant, licences are live inside your Microsoft 365 admin center within 2 working hours. For fresh tenants (no prior Microsoft account) we provision the domain, DNS, and admin account within that same window. Migrations from Google Workspace, Zoho or on-prem Exchange are scheduled separately.
What billing modes are supported?+
Three modes: (1) Annual · paid upfront — one invoice for the year, ~12% off MRP; (2) Annual · billed monthly — 1-year commit with monthly invoices, ~9% off MRP; (3) Monthly · no commitment — month-to-month, cancel anytime, charged at MRP. Every card above shows all three rates side by side.
Can I upgrade Basic → Standard → Premium mid-cycle?+
Yes. CSP subscriptions support in-place upgrades. We swap the licence type, pro-rate the balance to the next invoice, and email an amended tax invoice — no data migration needed. Users see the new features unlock silently on next sign-in.
What happens if I go past 300 users?+
Microsoft caps Business plans (Basic + Standard + Premium combined) at 300 seats per tenant. Once you cross that, additional users must be licensed on Microsoft 365 Enterprise (E3, E5, F1, F3) or Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise. See our /microsoft-365-enterprise page for the Enterprise plans.
